Trillian - Get out of my life
Trillian worked for me ever since its inception some years ago. But I just can’t deal with having to pay to use Google Talk on it. Oh well. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere’s Pidgin. A nice and clean website, which seems to be the order of the day. Simple download. Quick installation. Flawless connection to every kind of chat that is out there. I love you my sweet little Pidgin. Eat crap Trillian.

I see that you love pidgin.
Unfortunately, I always found its interface to be clunky and yucky. It looks OK on Linux, but GTK (the GUI lib it uses) doesn’t really look that sweet on Windows. But the deal breaker for me is its lack of support for advanced jabber (google talk) features.
