Facebook Invitations…. Are Horrible

No. I’m *NOT* interested in “What Greek god are you?” or “Which swear word are you?“. I also don’t need to know if “Are You CrazySexy or CrazyCool?“, and I already know about “Are YOU sexy?“.

Facebook is probably the best social networking application so far, and the numbers prove it too. But I also think that it’s a bit pushy in the way they push out invitations for applications.  I also wish users were a bit more conservative when sending out those invitations.  Facebook has been very careless with not providing an “ignore all selected” option.  So, one has to click ignore or accept on each and every application, one by one.

Yesterday my pending invitation count read a disgusting 527.  There was no way I was going to click “ignore” that many times, and wait for the whole ajax thing to update that many times.  So, when I saw the “ignore all” service/application/bookmark introduced I was jumping with joy.  A quick drag into my toolbar, visit to FB’s invitations page, and click….. BOOOOOM.  I’m ecstatic.

Highly recommended.

Does anyone know the difference between “no thanks” and “ignore” on facebook invitations?
