Black & White Trouble

Ryan and Leo are the hottest dudes in the world today. They’re twin brothers born in Germany. One’s black and the other is white. I can’t help but think of this song.
Ebony and ivory live together in perfect harmony
Side by side on my piano keyboard, oh lord, why dont we?
We all know that people are the same where ever we go
There is good and bad in evryone,
We learn to live, we learn to give
Each other what we need to survive together alive

Brooke White - I’ll miss you on American Idol
I can’t get over the fact that Brooke White is no longer in the competition. :-(. For all those who are Brooke’s fans and want her to continue to sing, here’s her fan site.

Paula Abdul - Deserves to be off of American idol
Yep. It’s out. I really don’t think American Idol judging is all that honest. Paula Abdul’s screw up last night proves that she’s not seeing the future, but the future is already seen. She has given two explanations for the mess up, both of which I find hard to believe. What I do believe is that the whole judges’ act is scripted. If it was some sort of honest mistake, she would have come up with a better explanation. However, I loved the way both her colleagues came to her rescue and bailed her out in a hurry. Here’s the video.
Now, why am I glad this has come out? Because I’m totally devastated at the fact that Brooke White has been voted out :-(. How can that happen in an honest competition? I fell in love with Brooke when she sang “You’re so vain“. This is probably the best rendition of the song… yes… even better than Carly Simon’s original. Brooke White has a voice that reminds me of Bonnie Tyler, another woman I always loved for her voice and looks.
I hope Paula Abdul is removed from the show, just so the world knows that Brooke White deserved to stay on, and that the whole competition is a farce. Am I being over-emotional? Probably yes. ![]()

Music of life
There are some songs that you can’t help feeling with. Youssou N’Dour has done quite a few such songs, but this particular piece always makes my soul move. I personally prefer the one with Neneh Cherry.
- 7 Seconds - Youssou N’Dour and Neneh Cherry
- 7 Seconds - Youssou N’Dour and Neneh Cherry - 1994 cut

Smell the roses
There comes a point in life, when one needs to sell the Ferrari, and venture out on a long walk into the fields. While you’re whizzing about in the bright red, shiny piece of metal, you can’t see the weed eating up all the plants. It’s only when you take a long walk that you see all that needs to be done in the wild fields. You can stop to smell the roses, gaze at the the clouds imagining things in them. You can take your time to get from here to there. In a Ferrari, you miss all the scenery; all you see is the road ahead and the destination unseen.
You need to be a gardner that cares a lot. You need to weed out the tears and grow a good crop.

Inner Child
I think this is the most heart wrenching piece of music in my rather large collection. I have always wondered if it is so powerful for me to hear it, what it must be like to sing it.
- Inner Child by Mike Oldfield - Live Performance (Bad Sound)
- Some personal video with Inner Child as background (Good Sound)

Phantom of the opera
I’m a purist and typically don’t like any attempt at remixing music. Especially pieces like Phantom of The Opera. But some renditions are worth mentioning. Evanescene was an unexpected voice for this, but has done a reasonable job at it.
