Training sessions for Primavera & P@SHA
Primavera (My wife’s new venture) has planned a series of training sessions all over Pakistan. The first two sessions are being held in Karachi in partnership with P@SHA, and are scheduled for 24-May-2008, and will be conducted by your’s truly. Both the sessions “Boldly go where no presenter has gone before“ and “Net worth by Network” have been designed for people who are interested in expanding their personal and business horizons, and want to take advantage of the rapidly growing opportunities in Pakistan, specifically in the field of Information Technology.

Hydro-4000 Car Fuel Efficiency
Hydro-4000 promises to be a major step towards car fuel efficiency with almost 60% saving in fuel prices. I wonder when it will reach Pakistan. Also, I wonder if it would work with Petrol/Diesel Generators, considering we burn more fuel in generators than we do in cars 
Hydro-4000 supposedly uses Hydrogen to get your spark plugs kicking, instead of a mixture of air and gasoline. This creates a cleaner and more efficient burning environment. Channel-5 did some tests on their cars and here’s the video.

People’s Resistance Movment
Many people have started wondering what I have against Dr. Awab, and why am I constantly attacking his cause. I just want to clarify, that both Dr. Alvi Senior and Dr. Alvi Junior are personal friends of mine, and we just bounce “gup shup” off of each other. So, if any of you were hoping for some more interesting theory behind all this, I’m sorry to disappoint you.
With that said, I still stand, very vocally, against the People’s Resistance Movement, especially since I noticed their logo is like they’re damning “sending lanat” to the whole nation. But then that seems appropriate. No? Oooops… here I go again :-).

K.E.S.C. Rip Off
I received my K.E.S.C. bills today, and then I read the newspapers. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet. The following clips are from today’s and yesterday’s newspapers. I really suggest all Karachiites read all images carefully. I love this democratic payment of a few billion Rupees to KESC in “subsidy“. This is such a sad democratic slap for Karachi’s residents. I wonder when the People’s Resistance Movement will organize a protest against this horrible act of dictatorship.

Did Paulette Dean Daly have an affair with Roger Clemens?
Why do we like scandals so much? Now it’s Paulette Dean Daly, wife of professional golfer John, who is the latest alleged liaison of former Major League Baseball pitcher Roger Clemens. Imagine if everyone’s private “liaisons” could be looked into, what tales that would tell. Oh well. I guess we all get some perverse pleasure in seeing others get caught out, while we forget we have enough skeletons in our own closet. Why can’t He Who Is Without Sin Cast The First Stone?

Brooke White - I’ll miss you on American Idol
I can’t get over the fact that Brooke White is no longer in the competition. :-(. For all those who are Brooke’s fans and want her to continue to sing, here’s her fan site.

Paula Abdul - Deserves to be off of American idol
Yep. It’s out. I really don’t think American Idol judging is all that honest. Paula Abdul’s screw up last night proves that she’s not seeing the future, but the future is already seen. She has given two explanations for the mess up, both of which I find hard to believe. What I do believe is that the whole judges’ act is scripted. If it was some sort of honest mistake, she would have come up with a better explanation. However, I loved the way both her colleagues came to her rescue and bailed her out in a hurry. Here’s the video.
Now, why am I glad this has come out? Because I’m totally devastated at the fact that Brooke White has been voted out :-(. How can that happen in an honest competition? I fell in love with Brooke when she sang “You’re so vain“. This is probably the best rendition of the song… yes… even better than Carly Simon’s original. Brooke White has a voice that reminds me of Bonnie Tyler, another woman I always loved for her voice and looks.
I hope Paula Abdul is removed from the show, just so the world knows that Brooke White deserved to stay on, and that the whole competition is a farce. Am I being over-emotional? Probably yes.
