Entrepreneur, On-air personality, Public Speaker, Trainer, and Inspirator.

In 1997 Faisal decided to take a career shift, and chose the rapidly growing field of Information Technology. He has since been responsible for setting up more than one successful venture. His inspiration behind this shift was a desire to build on his own capability, and to reinvent himself. However, even after being an entrepreneur, and setting up more than one successful business, Faisal was not satisfied – He had to find his real calling in life.
Those close to Faisal say that he should have been a lawyer, because of his argumentative yet analytical nature. He had a natural instinct to teach and tutor; especially whenever he felt a wrong had been committed, or there was room for improvement. His basic instinct has been to discipline, evolve and constantly innovate. It was all but natural for him to venture into public speaking & training.
Faisal is a multi-faceted individual who likes to keep evolving, learning, and trying new things. With the experiences of life, Faisal has been a very introspective person and has managed to improve his outer as well as inner persona with every passing day. He has learned to control his temper, ego, and other such instincts, through “positive thinking” and understanding of the “bigger picture”. Two topics he continually stresses upon in his lectures.
In 2006 Faisal was invited to co-host a TV show called Loose Ends. It was here for the first time where Faisal felt at ease and found his true calling. After 44 very successful weeks of Loose Ends, the show was being seen as a “threat” and “commercially challenged” by few. As a result, Loose Ends was abruptly shut down. However, the strong fan following and the desire to see real positive change in Pakistan, led to the creation of a Social Responsibility and Awareness movement and organization called Loose Ends Pakistan.
Umar Sheikh and his wife Tania, who were co-hosts of Loose Ends left for the United Kingdom. Reema who also co-hosted Loose Ends, got busier with her Event Management Company, J&S3 Communications. Faisal and Reema got married while they were doing Loose Ends.
A few weeks after Loose Ends ended Faisal was offered to launch and host Dawn TV’s breakfast show, Breakfast At Dawn. He was later joined by Ayeshah Alam. Even though the position was great for someone’s media career, and in a very short time Faisal had reached the spot many aspired for, his soul was not at rest. After spending almost one year at Dawn News TV, Faisal decided he needed to do TV in Urdu, and use all his life skills for the betterment of his country.
In March 2008, Faisal joined Samaa TV to pursue his dream, and started a show called Ankahi, which deals with core issues that are much more important than those harped on by political parties and have kept the nation distracted and stripped to bone for decades. Faisal Qureshi believes in first addressing core human issues. Once the nation is well-fed, well-behaved, and in a more civilized frame of mind, they will themselves find leaders that can take them to a better future.
Faisal wants to reach out to as many people as he can, and to remove the negativity and apathy from them. He aims to change mindsets and bring back the passion in the people of Pakistan.
Faisal believes that Pakistani politics, which are primarily based on friendships and not on ideologies, takes away an individual’s objectivity to work for, what he calls, the “Common National Agenda” of progress and development. For this reason, he has so far refused to be affiliated with any political party or movement.
He believes that it is very easy to bring Pakistan at par with any developed country, but only if there are enough people who believe the same. His quest is to find people with this belief; people who see their own growth in the nation’s growth. Faisal wants to mentor a generation of leaders that believe in the self. A generation that can take ownership and responsibility of Pakistan, as they do of themselves.
