	Amazing message. He wants the youth to focus on bringing more people to his facebook page. Is this really the best he could do after stealing the very same youth 10 precious years of their lives? &nbsp;And the irony of all ironies, the very same youth is rooting for Musharraf once again and praying that he comes back to power.
</p>
<p>
	Musharraf being a Machiavellian strategist laid this death trap for the democratic murderers of democracy knowing all too well they won&#39;t last more than a few years. &nbsp;Just enough time for him to re-emerge as the savior of the lost flock of sheep, and sheep we are.
</p>
<p>
	My question to all those who are rooting for the <strong>second coming of Pervez Musharraf</strong> to make a list of things that &quot;he did&quot;, instead of the usual list of &quot;what he didn&#39;t do&quot;, or how &quot;he is the best thing available&quot;. &nbsp;The latter are just lame excuses for not getting off of our fat rotting arses and doing something. &nbsp;We&#39;d much rather hand over our destiny to liars, cheaters, criminals, and in this case nobodies. &nbsp;Not many people know but Mr. Musharraf is active raising Pakistani Dollars from all over the world, claiming to be the savior of the nation he destroyed as much as any other politician in Pakistan&#39;s history.
</p>
<p>
	I beg today&#39;s youth to stop, and think. Think before wishing or making choices.
</p>
<p>
	P.S. In this piece of Musharraf&#39;s welcome message from his facebook fan page doesn&#39;t he sound like a child molester and drug peddler who recruits innocent children to lure their friends to his den?</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">
		<font face="Arial" size="2"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">I am eldest member of my paternal family. We are 2 siblings, and my brother is also visually impaired, and suffering from same disease. Currently he is doing his masters in international relations. I was born in Faisalabad, which is major industrial city of Pakistan, and located in central Punjab. At beginning, doctors diagnosed that I won&rsquo;t be able to see through out my life, since my disease &ldquo;retina detachment&rdquo; is incurable. Actually my disability occurred due to genetic problem of our family. This disease transferred to me from my maternal family. My 3 maternal uncles and 1 cousin, are also visually impaired and having same disease. So, in total, 6 visually members from 1 family. All male visually impaired members are also having partial hearing impairment which starts after age of 15. However, I am not having any kind of hearing loss. Recently an organization of Lahore, conducted research on our family, they conducted detailed examination of all members, and diagnosed that by principle this disease should not have transferred to me. They also told us in their report that people suffering from this disease usually suffers from hearing loss, since this disease shouldn&rsquo;t come to me, therefore, it couldn&rsquo;t effect me totally, and I am safe from hearing loss. I was 2 years old, when doctors did an experimental surgery of my left eye with this hope that I would be able to see, however, it couldn&rsquo;t be a successful experiment. I was 3 years old, when my mother decided to start my schooling. Since we were living in a remote area of Faisalabad at that time, so, no Braille facilities or talking books were available. My mama learned Braille first from my maternal uncle, and then she herself wrote books in Braille for me with help of writing frame. She always treated me like a normal kid. She forced me to participate in every game and extra curricular activity. She herself read books for me, since my father was abroad those days, so my mama was responsible to handle every thing on her own. Till 10 years of my age, my family took me to every eye specialist of my country; I had to undergo so many ultrasounds, blood tests, and city scans etc, which sometimes made me frustrated. Then doctors advised my family to stop my treatment, since different medicines were damaging my eyes. Mean while I continued my education in mainstream institution. In these circumstances, I was best student of my institution every year; I won so many debate competitions, singing competitions etc, on behalf of my institution. In class 5th I got scholarship as well. I continued my education till class 7th in my village, later on my parents realized that now it won&rsquo;t be possible for me to pursue my educational career here, so, we decided to migrate to Islamabad. Here situations were quite better. I got admission in Almaktoom centre for visually handicapped, and here I learned Braille, mobility, arts and craft, and a little bit of musical knowledge. I was in class 9th when I decided to opt for something new and different, since my parents always wanted me to be different from others. They taught me &ldquo;never take your visual impairment as disability; take it as distinction from Almighty which he gave you in order to be different from others&rdquo;. By following same learning, I decided to step into field of information and communication technology. It was era of 1999 at that time; concept of using computer was very new here in Pakistan. In beginning we used demo version of jaws 3.5, later on we switched to latest versions. Till matriculation, I became good computer user, after my exams I taught computer to my school fellows for 2 months. I was very keen to opt for computer sciences in my college studies, however, due to lack of facilities, and out-dated policies, I was not granted permission from my institution. Then I opted for English literature for my intermediate studies. During intermediate, I studied few books related to management sciences, and decided to be successful business graduate. It was my desire, and I wanted to fulfill it at any cost. Initially my relatives, friends were very much against my decision, since they were in doubt that in such social order, where level of acceptance is near to the ground, no facilities are available, how I would continue my studies? Only my parents made me realize that I can do it. I got admission in BBA in National University of modern languages. My institution initially created few problems for me, however, my class performance made them realize that I can do it. In Pakistan, according to rules, we are not aloud to opt for any experience person, who can understand technicalities of subjects like accounts, math&rsquo;s etc, therefore, in mid term examinations of first semester, when my assistant couldn&rsquo;t understand my dictations, she left my papers blank, as result, and I got 5 suplies. However, since I never learned to give up, I continued my semester. Later on, my university gave me permission to attempt my papers on laptop, which helped me to increase my percentage. Gradually I started to indulge my self in extra curricular activities here; very soon, I became head of organizing committee, and led all major events of the university. My interest was towards human resource management, so I opted HRM for my specialization. In 2007 I accomplished my BBA, and then continued MBA-executive in same institution. During my business studies, I read allot on entrepreneurship, which motivated me to contribute something positive in this society. By keeping this thing in mind I and my friend talal established small NGO &ldquo;liocs&rdquo;. Under which we launched 11 successful events. After my MBA I did job in LXGmarketing, as HR manager. During my studies, I started to indulge my self in activities of other major organizations of disable people. Which helped me to understand our issues in more depth. Now I am working on launching of my own social venture, and successful negotiations are in process with several youth networks, in order to obtain fundings. I am also looking for some better options in foreign countries in order to pursue for my doctoral degree. I believe &ldquo;if I can not see the world, I must do something, and that the whole world should see me&rdquo;.</font></font>

	I was at the YLC yesterday talking to some young people.&nbsp; The session was related to Drug Use Prevention, and in an effort to convince someone to take the first step I asked the participants to take the pledge to give up smoking, right there, right then.&nbsp; Usually such calls go in vain, but to my utter surprise and joy a cigarette pack came flying and fell on the floor by my side.&nbsp; No one owned up to it.&nbsp; But I hope that maybe this person has actually given up smoking.&nbsp; Maybe he or she will now live a longer healthier life.&nbsp; Maybe a others will follow.&nbsp; For posterity I&#39;m posting pictures of the pack. &nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	I remember doing a similar show in Loose Ends three years ago.&nbsp; A young girl emailed us after that saying her father, a stubborn smoker of decades, walked into her room, surrendered his cigarettes and swore to give it up. Right there. Right then.
</p>
<p>
	If there are others who can take that bold step, please share your thoughts here so you may inspire many to do the same.<br />
