The Women in Pakistan’s Parliament
Article Submitted By: faisalqureshi

Our politicians take pride in the number of young women who are in the house today. Interestingly they forget to mention that a very large number of them are there because their fathers or fathers in law didn’t have a bachelor’s degree. That WAS one rare feather in Perve Muharraf’s cap.

However one of the very few and useless laws this house has passed, has once again made it possible for the uneducated and unqualified to get into the house.

If this law stays in place, next time round most of the young and dynamic parliamentarians will be back in the kitchen, bare foot and pregnant.

Let’s celebrate The International Women’s Day.

Wonderful and very right forecast… our parliament house is going to go barren and out of educated rather literate parliamentarians in the next few years if this law persists!!!

Happy Women's Day to all the women!

Thank you for making this world a more beautiful place to live in… exceptions are always there !

Now tell us (men), what all women are doing today, on this International Women Day ???

Any addition of good recipe of life for Men with new convictions???

I couldn't agree more. Only recently wrote about these idiots, we call our leaders, myself.

Sidra

the laws that are in favor of Pakistan to not persist for long..

this change in law was expected..

happy women's day to all the wonderful out there who do not get a chance to make a change..

Happy Women's day to you too. Indeed as Jinnah said: 'No nation can rise to the glory if your women are not side by side with you."

:)

Learn from Fatima Jinnah my dear ladies, who spent her life fighting for the rights of Pakistanis and especially Pakistani women. Unfortunately, we close our Urdu book, read the chapter once and never bother reading her biography again.

There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. That little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.
